All Peoples, an inclusive and progressive congregation in Louisville, is seeking a part-time Coordinator for its Justice Center. Job duties are as follows:
Oversee the operation of the Kentucky Unitarian Universalist Justice Action Network, an organization including representatives from eight congregations that pursues justice work on selected statewide issues.
Provide leadership by developing and maintaining relationships between the church and justice advocacy groups, faith-based initiatives, and community-based organizations in Louisville.
Conduct operations of the Justice Center including its schedule, budget, resources, and electronic and paper files. Prepare and submit reports. Apply for grants, and monitor any grant funds received.
Plan and/or attend meetings with church staff and members, and with community organization representatives as needed.
Organize, source, and/or facilitate educative classes and training sessions.
Communicate to mobilize volunteers, and to publicize the Justice Center’s and other church justice ministries’ programs and events.
Speak on behalf of Justice Center at justice-related events throughout the community.
Position includes a professional expense allowance, paid vacation and holidays, and retirement benefit; a health benefit may be negotiable. Salary: $25,000 - $30,000.
